Regeneration of Nerve in Mice Through an Aligned Collagen Tube

This image shows a cross-section through a collagen tube taken 30 days after implantation. The sample was triple stained for Protein Gene Product 9.5 (shown in green), Myelin Basic Protein (shown in red), and Collagen IV (shown in blue).

We count the number of myelinated and unmyelinated nerve fibers in order to quantify the extent of regeneration.
