This is a confocal z-series of a human skin blister, providing a top-down perspective of the epidermal nerves. Nerves are immunostained for protein gene product 9.5.

A view of the same skin sample as the above image, only this time showing langerhans cells, localized with antibody to CD-1a.

A two color merge between the above two images showing the spatial relationship of nerves and langerhans cells.
